| A Message from Our Chair I’m sure many of us have made new resolutions or set goals that we aspire to accomplish this new year, and we as a coalition have done the same. At the end of 2023, we mentioned the idea of re-starting work groups to help address key issues surrounding immunization rates in the District. Therefore, to enhance our member engagement and make a greater impact with our work as a coalition, ImmunizeDC has resolved to create two work groups this year. The work groups will meet to brainstorm and develop at least one objective, focus area, and activity for 2024. The potential topic areas include: -school health -educating providers and the public -HPV vaccination policies and education We have so much opportunity to showcase our influence as a coalition, so for those who are ready to serve as a collaborative member of one of the work groups, please email us at info@dcimmunized.org. In the email, please include the following information: your name, organization, and work group topic(s) of interest. Based on the responses received, we will select the top two topics to create the work groups. Further details will be forthcoming once the groups are established. I’m excited for all that this new year holds, especially as it pertains to our involvement in the community. As we merge our unique experiences, expertise, and ideas, I’m confident that the work groups created will yield meaningful results that bring about positive change in DC’s immunization rates.
